Post Basic Nursing Course Structure 2019
Post Basic Nursing BSC is a three-year degree program which will have two components theory and practical. These have been divided into 22 courses fees courses, 11 for both theory and practical each.
IGNOU follows the Credit system for the post basic B.Sc nursing program as well. The theory courses will compromise 40 credits and the practical courses will compromise of 68 credit spread over three years.
If any student who wants to obtain the Post Basic B.Sc nursing degree will have to compulsory complete all the courses. Detailed information on the courses theory and both practical for each year is provided below.
Post Basic Nursing Admission 2019
Unlike the other admissions in IGNOU happen twice a year, admissions for this program will be made only once a year for in-service nurses. There is a very prescribed format of the form that should be submitted to the regional director of concern regional centre where you want to take the admission. You can download the form from the IGNOU website obtained from the regional centre of IGNOU directly or by post.
When you are submitting the form you should remember that you need to make a DDA demand draught rupees 1210 which should be submitted along with the form.
Post Basic Nursing 2019 Eligibility
There is a different criterion for Male and female Nurses.
For Female Nurses:-
- The first condition of eligibility will require the in-service nurses. buy food in services ignore means that the Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM) having 10+2 with three years and with Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of two years of experience.
- In-service Nurses (RNRM) having a 10th class (Matriculation) or its equivalent with three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of five years of experience (after registration as RNRM) in the profession
For Male Nurses:-
- For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme, should have a certificate in any of the Nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.
- For males nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme, should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.
