IGNOU has released notification for admission in IGNOU Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Programme 2021. Need for the post basic B.Sc nursing degree programme was felt by the Indian nursing council. This was because of the shortage of colleges of nursing and the limited amount of seats available each year. According to the new national policy of education the emphasis is been put on the higher education available. This program that was launched by the IGNOU called post basic BSc nursing degree program will help of left women’s education and explain the role of the nurse in person in the industry.

IGNOU Post Basic Nursing Course Structure 2021
The University follows the credit system for its various Degree programmes. Each credit amounts to 30 hours of study comprising all learning activities. Thus a four credit course involves 120 study hours and an eight credit course involves 240 study hours. To complete the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme successfully, student will have to earn 108 credits over a period of 3 to 5 years depending on her/his convenience. The Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a three year Degree programme. This course has two major components: theory and practicals. It is divided into 22 courses; 11 theory and 11 practical .

IGNOU Post Basic Nursing Admission Procedure 2021
Admission for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme for January, 2020 session will be done region wise, You need to take part in common entrance test OPENNET-IX. Students will be approached on the basis of merit in common entrance test. Regional Centres where Post Basic B.Sc (N) Programme Study Centers will do the counseling and admissions. Candidates from any Region/State can opt PSCs for Post Basic BSc. Nursing Programme as per their choice.

IGNOU Post Basic Nursing 2021 Eligibility
There is a different criterion for Male and female Nurses.
For Female Nurses:-
- The first condition of eligibility will require the in-service nurses. buy food in services ignore means that the Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM) having 10+2 with three years and with Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of two years of experience.
OR
- In-service Nurses (RNRM) having a 10th class (Matriculation) or its equivalent with three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of five years of experience (after registration as RNRM) in the profession
For Male Nurses:-
- For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme, should have a certificate in any of the Nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.
OR
- For males nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme, should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.
IGNOU Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Programme Fees
Programme Fee – 20,000/- per annum (May vary from time to time).
Candidates want to take admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme should not pay the fees along with the filled-in application form of entrance test. They will get communicated about their admission and for payment of programme fees.
The programme fees should be paid only by demand draft drawn in favor of IGNOU. On the back of demand draft you should write your name, address and Mobile number to ensure proper credit to your account.
