IGNOU B.A. English Syllabus and Exam Pattern

The Bachelor of Arts in English course is an undergraduate language course in English that is designed to prepare students to understand and use of English language effectively. This program is also offered by the Indira Gandhi National Open University and this course covers a wide range of syllabus from the times of Mediaeval period through Romanticism and Modernism to the writings from Dickens with optional papers in various English literature of different continents.

IGNOU B.A. English Exam Structure

For admission and completion of a BA English degree from IGNOU, every student has to on 96 get its inventor 13 years in maximum 6 years where 32 bits per year are minimum. To complete these credits, students have to choose courses from three categories these are foundation course, elective courses and application-oriented courses. * Commerce based Application-oriented Courses. However, students are free to choose any Application-oriented Course(s) of their choice. If you opt for 4 credit AOCs, you must choose at least two 4 credit AOCs to make up a total of 8 credits of AOCs.

** +2 level of mathematics is a pre-requisite.

Only for B.Sc. students. CHE1, CHE 2 and CHE 3(L) are pre-requisite for this course, however, this is not a compulsory directive. B.A./ B.Com/BTS students advised not to opt for this AOC.
