The students who need to migrate from one state to another require a migration certificate. The migration from one state to another is usually done by students to study in their preferred university or to complete their studies while living in another state.
IGNOU provides migration certificates to their students when they want to leave the institute and continue their further studies in another institution. A candidate needs to certify that after passing from IGNOU, they are not enrolled in any other institution until they get their migration certificate.

If you want to apply for IGNOU Migration Certificate than you need to download the Application form of the Migration and Print it on A4 sheet. There isn’t any online procedure for IGNOU Migration Certificate the only way is to get your Migration is by filling this offline form and submit it to your concerned regional centre of IGNOU with respected Fees.

How to get Your IGNOU Migration Certificate
Print out should be on A4 size paper.
Fill your all details like course, enrollment no., Passing year and other required details.
The Demand Draft should be in favor of “IGNOU” and payable at the concerned regional center address.
The Application Fees for IGNOU Migration certificate is Rs 500/– In order to get your migration certificate, you need to send a demand draft at the respective regional center of IGNOU. The demand draft should contain an amount of five hundred rupees in favor of IGNOU. The Migration certificate fees is only acceptable in the form of Demand Draft. No Cash or online payment will be accepted.

In case you have lost your migration, certificate and need a duplicate for the same then there’s a procedure for it too. If you have lost your migration certificate or your migration certificate is destroyed than you don’t need to worry much. you can still get duplicate migration certificate from IGNOU. You just need to follow some steps.
You need to make an affidavit on non judicial stamp paper of Rs 10 value. and again you have to pay the Duplicate migration certificate fees of Rs 500/- to your regional center. Your affidavit should be in the format as shown below.

“I, ……………..……………………….…. , son/daughter of ….………………..….……………., resident of ………………..……………………………………………………………………….…………………………
…………………………….…. hereby solemnly declare that the Migration Certificate No…………………. dated……..……………issued to me by the …………………………….……………………………………. to
enable me to join …………………………………………… University has been lost and that I did not join
any other University on the basis of the same nor have I submitted the same for joining any other University.”

In order to get a migration certificate from IGNOU, you need to fill up an application and then submit it to the university. You can download the form from the official website of IGNOU and fill it up. Make sure that the information you feed in the application is correct and accurate.
In case the information is incorrect, the university has the right to cancel your migration certificate application. After filling out the form, you need to submit it to the appropriate regional center that you were allotted.
Make sure that you apply a xerox copy of your degree certificate and marks along with your application before submitting it to your respective regional center. Without xerox copies, your application cannot be accepted.

If you want to download the online format of your migration certificate application then you need to follow the steps given below. The application can be downloaded in PDF format through the official website of IGNOU.
After the application has been successfully downloaded, you need to get it printed and fill up all the details with a pen.
