IGNOU Regional Center Deoghar is one of the most important regional center of IGNOU in state Jharkhand. IgNOU RC Deoghar is situated in the land of god i.e Deoghar Jharkhand. Deoghar is also known as Baba Dhaam. Deoghar is famous for Lord Shiva’s 12th Jyotirlinga “Baba Vaidyanaath”. IGNOU Regional Center Deoghar was established was established on 26th May 2011 after bifurcation of IGNOU’s Ranchi Regional Centre to reduce load on IGnOU RC Ranchi and better administration, monitoring of Student Support Centres and for supporting the local population there.
IGNOU RC Deoghar has currently jurisdiction of 7 out of 26 districts of Jharkhand. RC Deoghar is the second regional center of IGNOU in Jharkhand.
